Alaska Airlines is the only carrier serving Juneau. On a recent flight I noticed that the plane was very full. There is a lot more to see and do in Juneau besides awesome fishing. I took the tram, located in downtown Juneau, to the top of Mt. Roberts. Neat and fast way to get there! If you have all day, you can hike to the top. If you do not want to spend two whole days seeing Tracy Arm and Sawyer Glacier, you can go down and back the same day with the *Adventure Bound Alaska tour boat. Cost is about a hundred bucks.
Some B&B's are considerably less expensive than other area lodging. The most expensive lodging is in downtown Juneau. The B&B's have limited space so make your reservations early.
